04 March 2009 - 175 students from SR Pusar Ulak, SR Raja Isteri Fatimah, SR Bendahara Lama, SR Datu Godam and SR Hj Tarif attended a motivational talk at SR Pusar Ulak Main Hall. The talk was delivered by Dr Ee Ah Meng from Counselling and Career Guidance Section, Ministry of Education.
Beside the talk, some activities were carried out such as mind mapping to help the students to organise their ideas in simplest way so that it will be easier for them to remember some facts. Other than that, five students representing each participating schools were involved in a competition whereby they were to estimate how many push-ups they will be able to do within a minute. Most of them looked down at their own capabilities. Some even guess they can only do 7 push-ups only. After the stated time.. of course with the motivations from their schoolmates, every can double and triple their estimation. Congratulations to SR Pusar Ulak's representatives, Awg Tashimudin who estimated he would only do 20 push-ups, managed to do 70 push-ups instead.. the highest score of all!! Well done..
The moral here is to never underestimate of your own capabilities.. especially when everyone is supporting you...
